Yes, it already has been changed to a US transformer, should you should be right to just plug it in and use it, without needing a step up transformer.

3.10 is good, though pirated, but will work perfectly well.

Does the transformer move around, as it looks like it is on an angle in there, maybe not bolted down correctly?

I am still afraid to plug her in though... if the machine was designed for 220-240v aren't there possibly other components that could be affected if not designed to handle 120v?

Also, which way should the voltage switch be flipped in this case? Hopefully it is disconnected entirely.

The voltage selector is probably not connected, as it is not present in a US model.

The other components are the same, it just uses different value fuses in the US version, to the other versions.

I think I listed the correct values for each of the four fuses in the MPC60 bible thread.

Yes it's got a slight wobble but it's bolted down tight enough. I see a molex terminal on the pcb that has nothing plugged on it...Maybe I should make sure that the cables are attached right.

I knew it had been tampered with from the start of digging inside when I found a cut plastic zip tie laying on the pcb.

I only see 3 fuses :hmmm:

f2= 2.5ma
f3= 500ma
f4= 500ma

These are the EVBS fuses.. :Sigh:

Trying to find it...having a hard time. But judging by the current labeling; either they were changed and the tags underneath weren't removed, or they are still the stock fuses. They are not blown or burnt up so I am thinking the former is most likely.

The other fuse is hidden on the smaller PCB directly under the PCB with the 3 fuses that you can see.

They do seem to be the EVBS fuses, but are lower values than they should be for an CA version.

I think it should be OK to use, at worst it will just blow the fuses and you will have to replace them anyway, I don't think it will damage anything.

I would use it, and replace the fuses once I could get the correct values.

I would expect that since you bought it in the US, and it has the US transformer, that it has already been plugged in and used the way it is.

What do you mean 'current labeling' and 'tags underneath'?

You probably need to pull the fuses out, and check the value on the fuses as stamped into one of the metal ends of each fuse.

It says T630ma..I am going to ensure that the voltage switch is unplugged and then turn it on. If it fries I'll just give it back to Guitar Center. :twisted:
