word. it just kind of sucks when u want to say do a bassline on a track then want to add a pad or lead. U gotta record the patches then. Its not a big deal but u gotta have a way to record and seqs at the same time. A cheap 4 track can do that. then just resample into the mpc.

multitimbrality is really cool, but you won't really get that for 4 bills. at least it's not monophonic like the voyager, no multitimbral action on that and it's 3 G's.

I have a 4 track analog tascam. My next purchase(next year sometime) will be pro tools, I may be able to get it free. Anyway, down the road I can edit there. For now I am experimenting with my 'sound.' Tonight I am gonna load up the 60 with some drums, maybe samples too and add the korg to it.

Lets not forget that I can load the korgs sound(s) into the sp 303 or 60 or w30 as a way of creating more tracks. I actually like that I can only play on key at a time, the cut off reminds me of the 60. I am at school now, I will get home at 230,lift weights, work at 530. I will get home at around 930, AND THEN IT IS ON!! Im gonna do some drums in the 60 then midi up the korg.

The vocoder makes me feel like them cats from ZAPP..

Ain't nobody said I ain't happy for the dude, shout out the new microkorg owner. I aM just saying I didn't like the microkorg when I demo'd it. When I first seen it at the korg site I was in awe, and I was dying to try it and went to GC with an instant boner but when I demo'ed it I was disappointed. I was saving for a ion when they came out, I was thouroughly impressed, soon after the micron was announced and when I demo'ed that one I was like aiight this is my new baby and I went and got it. Honestly, it's a beast, I just don't have the time to learn it fully with my new job. the working man's curse! Hard to program for a beginner? I guess so.... I am not new to the game but it's my first synth and I get alot of it but with some of the programming and tweaking I am clueless.... I need to take a day off and just sit in front of it and do the damn thing... which this job just doesn't allow....

More knobs=better for a beginer to synthesis. Having two filters but a small interface is harder to get in to, trust me I went mthat route at first.

The sound quality of the micro is what gets me, it sounds great, it's tone is good, something the higher end VA's don't really have IMO.

I haven't tried the micron yet, but I did like the ion, the flexibility is key, but the soundquality I can't comment on yet, the microkorg impressed me immediately.

I'm sure you made a good choice, it will take patience and you will be continually rewarded for it for years to come with the mod matrix it has.

Same here. I tested it today in a shop and I was pretty dissapointed about it. (.... Maybe it was because it sitted right next to a Voyager ) It felt and sounded rather cheap. I mean, there is a button for hip hop and other genres...wtf?!... I turned it and some toy'ish sequences yelled out the speakers for no reason. I couldnt turn the damn thing off, so I quickly lowered the volume and getted the f*ck out of there Yeah for real, the Microkorg made me run away! If I had one, I would give it away for christmas haha

It also depends on the monitoring system, I've heard it though several and I stand by the unique sound it has, you can tweak it in good ways and it responds musically to those tweaks to my ears.

Saying I don't like something isn't dissing it... it's like when I eat a cheeseburger at Applebees, it's not a bad burger but I don't like it cause I think the Mad Max burger at Outback Steakhouse is better... understand? If I wanted to diss it I'd be making fun of it cause it's plastic or whatever. It's not a bad machine it's just the micron is a better machine. This doesn't even mean I'll make better beats with it cause I have it, you might even be killer at programming your microkorg and make a beat on it that I can't even compete with even though I have a micron. The new Virus TI Polar kills my micron.... but for over 2G's keep that...

yeah? well how bout we diss the cat playin it? I thought this was weak. the synth sounded wack. im not hating but i was not feeling this. and the micron i think is a better synth then the micro. 4 part multitim is bettter then one part multi tim anyday of the week. cats be gettin to sensitive on this forum.
