Chopping up Samples on the 3000 and making new samples

same way I chop on the S950 (that doesn't have a paste option...)

but when you have 32 MB of ram like on the 3000, this is so easy... you can just copy the sound as many times as you like (well, almost). Edit the start and end points on the first pad, memorize that end point, and on the second pad make it the start point... and so on. this can be pretty fast
