Well enyo, I'm nog trying to be rough on you, but if you can't get the beats out of the mpc2000xl don't bother trading it for an mpc3000. It won't get you any further.
Stick with your 2000xl instead of trying to sell it for little money. The 3000 won't get you better tracks.

I think that I can work my ideas better out on an mpc3000, why, don't ask me that, I have discus that already on another forum!
The mpc3000 has more limitations, but I think that the limits on it makes me more creative.

I have an picture of the screen of an mpc3000, and if I look at it I get good ideas for my beats.
If I look on the screen of an mpc2000xl its like I'm looking against a wall and then are al my ideas gone.

It has been a long while ago when I worked with the mpc2000xl, but I can't remember it had an awful lot of info more to show on the main screen.
Anyway, if you want the mpc3000 get one. Your parents got you an mpc2000xl, so they might as well buy the mpc3000 for you. Try to keep in mind that your dad's money doesn't come free.
Ah well, I must be getting old. In my younger years I was allready happy with a pack of bubble gum.

Keep the MPC2000XL and learn how to use it - buying another machine isn't going to make you Dr Dre, it will just make you frustrated - you can make any music you want on an XL and you can make it sound any way you want - making music takes patience, perseverence and practice, things you'll never accomplish if you keep getting rid of equipment because you think the grass is greener somewhere else.

A year? man, I had start with thinking over samplers etc. a half year ago, men.
Really nobody even here in Holland can give me a couple good suggestions why I should keep my mpc2000xl.
I've send an email to a guy back here in Holland, about of he wanna trade my mpc2000xl to his mpc3000, and he said he gets crazy about people they had send the same mail like me, so....
