for those who wanna see....the scsi samplers card reader

my zip on the 60 is hella fast...just as quick as my 3k was. As long as I stay in the box with the sounds then it doesn't take a lick of time. It was the MPC Editor that was f'n up my zips and making my 60 load slow. Stopped using that a minute ago...but I won't knock on zip disks being un reliable, mine are cool but I'll knock on wood for now.

Am I correct in assuming that the reason that zips (disks) are not as reliable is the fact that they contain moving parts which over time give out... as opposed to cards which seem to have no moving parts?

sorry i **** up the settings that i posted earlier, i didnt see one of the jumpers because i was lookin at them while it was still mounted in the holder,
it was also white so it blended in heh...here are the correct specs

I would say that guy is a great vendor. I dont think they are that overpriced. Everything I've purchased from him is spot on.

What exactly was it about MPCEditor that was screwing up your Zips? I ask because I just purchased it and for some reason one of my Zip disk is partitioned with one partition only. It may be user error,but... I'm going to try it again when I get some more Zip disk in the next couple of days.

The MPCEDITOR creates as stated in its manual...

A single crossplatform "safe" partition that can be be used on an MPC and COMPUTER.

for sure. I wasn't knocking the editor. Respect to Mike Goins or whoever created it. My comment was that when I used the MPC editor to transfer data from the computer to use on my older mpc's it took a hell of a long time to load up and wasnt' reliable. Meaning, my MPC would say, can't read file, or file corrupted and such and such. Plus, as MPC3000le mentioned, it created one parition and I hate buying zips so I rather do everything on the mp and keep the data saved on my zip using 4 sections instead of burning through one using the editor. You know, it's all about personal preference. Works fine for some and not so well for others.

Ok so this is working with your 60?
I ordered one and just tried everything (yet again) to make it work and nothing. This thing don't work with an MPC3000.
Anybody make any headway withe MPC 3000+card reader tests?

yeah im getting sick of zip's i just had another PGM from a finished beat go currupt on me, feels like a kick in the stomach
