Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

Like I said, the 60 I got has the 3.10 OS and maxed memory, so I'm not trippin' on having to put the SCSI in... The way I look at it, it's a give and take -- maybe the next 60 to come up would have had all the upgrades but the condition would have been worse. Who knows...

Anyway, regarding upgrades in general -- I'm from the days when we had to work off floppies and were limited by sample constraints. It really comes down to who you are as a producer. If you have vision, you'll find a way to achieve things. Having the newest OS, SCSI, headphone jack mod, brightest backlight, whatever -- is not going to make you into the producer you wish you were. Don't get me wrong, these luxuries are great to have, no doubt... But there seems to be the sentiment that if an MPC 60 doesn't have all its options that it's not worth its weight in lead, and that's ridiculous.

Not referring to anyone in particular, just stating a general observation.

you're absolutely right, but should have noticed by now that the 60's DD floppy drive is as slow as a sick turtle...
