3000 is the move nice and simple using your ears, plus my s950

Just outta curosity...why the 3000 and the 950? The 3000 pretty much does everything the 950 can do except time strech right?

Im assuming you are using the 950 for the ill baseline filters?

Agreed. It is more time consuming to chop, easy to loop, but good results. Auto chop is good and bad. Hard work is more rewarding than hitting the auto button but you could lose the magic if held up too long. I think the computer itself is the way to go for fast, accurate autochop(recycle). I get more into what I want to come out with this 3k.

Why does everybody think that if you use autochop it's not rewarding or it's not going to be creative and it's gonna sound like the other guys beat that used the same sample? Well for me time is valuable if I can make a beat in 1 hr. using auto chop and you made a beat in 3-4hrs. and my shit sounds the same or better then you wasting a lot of time. I could make 2 beats in the time you make 1. But I don't use auto chop all of the time tho I just sample 2 beats at a time just because I used the 3000 for so long. The 3000 you have to know what your beat is gonna sound like right off the bat and you have to keep it in your head so you don't loose your melody and train of thought. To each his own tho whatever works for you I guess and faster is better for me since I.

Agreed. To each his own. I'm not knockin any person for their preference or any machine for its features. I do music mainly for self satisfaction so none of the time is wasted because its something I choose to do for me. Its not my career where time matters more. A person could make beats 10 to my 1 and who cares. I'm just learnin and lovin the craft. If we were that buisy makin beats where do we get all this typing time right?

3000,for sure!!!!!

The sound & feel of the 3000 can't be beat. 2500's are expanded 2000xls. I serious believe that it's the ships in the units. Kinda like all the Ensoniq equipment that took new ships to upgrade the software. Anything with Roger Lynn's signature is the S$$T!
