Display MPC60

now i've checked the inside of the mpc again, but i can't find any things wrong.

@csdealer: is it possible that you can describe what i should do more detailed?

The display's plastic cover should be held snug to the LCD screen by metal tabs that go through little slots in the display's circuit board. If you take this plastic cover off (shouldn't ever need to do this, but it's possible your 60's previous owner did) and don't get enough pressure on the LCD when you reassemble, the display can look weird (lines out, completely blank, etc.). If you go in and tighten up the tabs, you might be able to fix your screen.
Your screen looks different than mine did, and my guess is that you're going to have to get a whole new display, but you could try tightening up the tabs to see if it helps before you spend a bunch of money. Just be careful that you don't break those tabs off or slam them against the circuit board and short it out.

i had the exactly the same problem.

You might have a power problem/loose connection. open the mpc and resolder the big 4 pin power connector on the inside top left of the display. that solved it for me.

how dou you mean resolder it? you think that the cable in the inside of the mpc which connects the display with the platine rigtht?

sorry, nothing that is attached to the display.

my problem was a streaky display and i could not use the machine at all.

open the mpc, locate a big connector (white) inside, top left where the power comes in, there are four leads going into this connector as far as i remember.
resolder that connector. Resolder that connector.

thanks a lot...i hope i am able to fix it. did you need a soldering gun for it?

i used a soldering iron
there was no need to use new solder because they have a big blob of solder, just heat up the points until fluid and let them cool again, that should do it.
