Kalle you may think this is a laughing matter, but I have taken this to the next level and reported you to the FIB. Federal investigation of Bullsh*t.

Yep, that's right. 3000 OS is squeezed into 2 EPROMs.

MPC60
4 of MBM27C512-20 64K x 8 bit (512 Kb) CMOS EPROM = 2 Mb total
MPC3000
2 of AM27C020-150DC 256k x 8 bit (2 Mb) CMOS EPROM = 4 Mb total
So, half as many ROM chips the the MPC3000, but twice the overall capacity, due to each ROM chip having four times the capacity.

I just bought a 3.5-upgraded MPC on ebay.
On startup, no registration name or serial number is shown on the boot screen.
Can anybody with a legit copy of Vailixi tell me what the labels on the ROM chips are supposed to look like?

My guess is #2 and #3 are pirated ones. Mine, sadly, look like #2.
Thanks guys.

Rohan did not use one single type of labels when selling Vailixi so that is not an accurate way to determine validity.
Rohan would not have sent out any Vailixi upgrades without a registration name or serial number. You should be able to conclude that the chips installed in your machine are pirated.

about 1400 EUR for the whole unit. but i'm sending it back, the seller said the buttons and knobs are all working 100%, but the main volume pots is scratchy and most of the buttons don't really work on first press.
i'll post the serial number of the unit later, so nobody else makes the same mistake!
also, it seemed like the seller didn't care at all if the chips were pirated.
