MPC3000 & MPL MCDISK-E-1 HOT SWAP

Yup moved jumper to 4-13, Parity enabled

I only got 2 jumpers with the cf drive so cant turn on SCSI termination power on the drive.


I'll order another CF Card, Maybe I have corrupt it somehow

What is the voltage reading on F901 when you measure with a multimeter?

Are the fuses actually getting damaged/blown or are you changing them on a whim?

I don't think he has a multimeter to test voltage and/or continuity, and is just changing them on a whim.

Take that metallised static shielding bag out of your 3000 for starters!!
Wrap the thing in plastic electrical tape or something instead.

Changed fuses on a whim.

Will buy a multi meter today

That static shielding bag has now gone. Just shows how I don't have a clue about electrics

Be very careful poking around with the multimeter probes, you don't want to short the power line to ground and blow the fuse, if not already blown.

I've got a tech coming to my studio for a few days next week for a mixer install, I might just wait till he gets here.

I remember years ago changing a el foil on a different MPC3K and blowing some of those glass fuses.
