MPC 60 What's your rear gain switch set at?

Damn, that is is quite a selection. Those Great River pres are heavy. One channel weighs as much as a mackie 1202!

I like the GR pre's brecause they can sound like the Neve or you can make them sound clean.

what experience or results have you all achieved with gain on low on the mpc60?

The problem with the New Neve is it is more of an accurate sound like the Amek stuff was that Rupert was designing for them, not thick like the originals Neve or API stuff.
Neve actually has started manufacturing the old pres again since all the company's making variationsof the Neve pre's have been doing so well.
The EQ curves allow you better tones based on what the source is or your desired out come.
The unit never loses it's characteristic sound, it just allows for more bottom, a mid notch, etc.
