Yes I understand that, I never argued that the equipment makes better music, but for me, and others, the experience of making musioc on some equipment is much more enjoyable and faster. Each will have their own preference, and I don't knock them, but we are expressing our preferences and the why's, for a while I thought I was alone in liking the 60 over the others, my reasons were mine, and honestly not copouts cuz at the time I could have gone for an XL for about the same money.
I can use anything, of course, the stuff I know best gets me quicker results, and often better, but if I am helping someone else in their studio, I'll show them how to get the best results with what they got. Often the answer is a few patchbays and routings, but I am open minded, my closest friends don't use MPC's, and I don't need the world to use them to feel good about my purchase, but I try to give support to those who feel like I do cuz I can help them the most, having been there.
I don't knock other people's choices, but I knock the equipment I don't like for the reasons I don't like it. I could still use it and do my thing.
Yes, another gear lust anonymous graduate, yeah, I had that, real bad, I tell andreas all the time to keep it curbed because it will just get in the way of using what you got (he's got an ill set up already).
If you told me you used a 3000, I would believe you because you are a trustworthy cat, why do you tell them the 3000? Just curious.
Also, we are talking about people's choices in what they purchase for themselves. Sure if I walk into a studio and they have logic, PT, etc, and an Xl, I'll use it all as necessary, but as far as what I spend my money on, it lies in my preferences, and that is what we are talking about.
