I listened to your two SP-1200 mixs, both of them were DOPE. I was gonna ask if you was using the SP-1200 and the Akai MFC42 for your filtering on the SP beats?

Most of those beats are made at Freds crib. Most of the samples are pre-eq'd/filtered a bit before hitting the SP1200. After the sample is in the 1200 it's not eq'd or filtered more. The beats are coming straight out of the SP1200's mono output. Only levels are mixed inside the 1200.

When I make beats at home I filter some of the samples before they hit the SP1200, and that's that.
