Who has the latest os and how is it? I'm yet to use a 3000 so I don't know how the others were but I'm close to purchasing one and I'm curious as to how dedicated 3k users are digging it. Thanks

Just in case anyone was still unsure about just how astounding this update is - I have 2 x MPC-3000s - both have the Mansell Labs upgrade - aside from all the extra radical timing stuff you can do with the triplet swing settings - the real value in being able to tighten up the sample start time of every pad while the sequence is running so you can actually hear the change in feel while making subtle changes is well worth three times the cost alone. There are not many classic boxes out there getting worthwhile updates and feature additions 10 years after they were released - we are lucky to have Mansell Labs on the planet - if you own a 3K - do it - you will not be dissapointed.

How easy is the installation? How good is the compression? Thanks

Easy fit - 8 screws, pop the hood, flat blade screwdriver under the old 2 x chips and gently lever them free of the sockets. Place Vailixi Chips in sockets and push firmly into place. Replace screws and power up - couldn't be simpler. Compression does as intended - Hi Fi 3K to Lo Fi 60...... regards - David

this is a must have

i had my mac crashing on me so i only got to about an hour of trying my mpc update out, but already loved it...

love the compression function (loved it on my mpc60, glad its back), its like you have a second sp1200 like machine to dirty some things up!

love the new timing settings, being able to edit sounds while playing sequences... the copy zone to sound function is perfect to create some quick copies of a desired section without having to copy the whole sound, truncate is great...

putting the chips in the machine is really easy too... absolutely no downsides... yeah maybe one, you want even more features and tweeks hahaha, it makes you lazy!

Do you even own a MPC cause you are asking some questions that are no brainers? Like how are you gonna sample in while in a sequence. Think about that one it requires to windows that shit ain't no computer.

How many mpcs have you burnt in learning how they work :? ? ahyeah damn impressive anyways, gonna begin saving money til you get it ready for da 60! 1
