I own a MPC 2000XL and I love it. But I have played around with an MPC 60 and I have heard a MPC 3000 in action and I can hear the difference in the way these units swing as opposed to my 2000XL. I"ll never give up my 2000XL. It has great features and you can get pretty much the same results as you can with a 3000 or the 60, but you gotta tweak a little more to get it.

Anyone else notice this?

Dj Khayos,

When laying down a beat, you didn't notice the mpc60 locks up tighter before you do any adjustments on the beat? This was the first thing I noticed when using the mpc60. The timing just seems tighter to me.

So I'm assuming that the swing function on the MPC-60 is your favorite,Skel?

When I got my MPC60 it demystfied DJ Premier's sound, I'll leave it at that. The Original Swing n' Punch Machine.

I got both the 60v3.10 and 2000xl and love em equally for different reasons.

"mpc60 locks up tighter" <-- That is likely in your head.

"The MPC3000's internal computer runs approximately 2.5 times as fast as the MPC60's, for tighter timing when running complex sequences." --Roger Linn

Is there a damn swing or not? All of them have it, so is 60/60II, 3K, 2k, 2kXL, 4k, which one. Seems to me that all are sequencers and all have quant.. I will admit I have never used a 60 or 3k or 4K, but I am pleased with my 2KXL and 2K b4 it. Someone please confirm, MPC3000 has made many valid points, and so has Dr.Foo and others. So what is it??
