just wondering if anyone does this: if you have a sample and put it on (at least) 4 pads and then go into the env./velocity menu (program/sounds + 2) set the sample to poly:mono. next put the velocity mod volume to 0 and the decay mod to start. next you can adjust the soft start where you want in the sample and you adjust the decay to cut the sample when you want. you do the same with the other 3 pads and then you have one sample chopped in four different places. so basically you have the same sample set on 4 different pads with different start and end points. only prob is that the soft start goes up/down in large increments so you can't always get the sample to start exactly where you want it. this would be good for soft samples like maybe fender rhodes sounds or vibes or something but not so good for drums. this is a lot quicker (if you don't have the new o.s.). what do you guys think? ever f*ck with that???
