Loading mpc60 in mpc2000xl

Hi!
First of all, excuse me for my english, i'm a french mpc user...
I'd like to know if it's possible to load mpc 60 pgm or sound in a mpc2000xl?
I'd like to do this because I'd like to buy a mpc2000xl just for stage, in order to let my mpc 60 stay at home.

My sounds and programs are on hard disk and Iomega zip, all in SCSI...
and do these softwares work on Mac or just PC?

Midi Dump is just miding the 2 machines and dump the samples. MPC Editor is a software program look it up online and do some research on it.

Yes you are right. MIDI is just a signal. Usually.
But most Samplers do have an option called "Midi Sample Dump".
This fuction transfer samples (or programs) over MIDI. The two machines
need to communicate both ways so you need 2 MIDI cables (2000 OUT -> 60 IN, 2000 IN -> 60 OUT)
I dont know where you can find this function in the 60 but in the 2000 you need to switch to the MIDI menu.
Do your research. Its really easy to do but the process take a lot of time if you want to transfer long samples (coffee break time )

so dumping could be a solution but Pieuvre says I cant' dump with OS 3.10....
I will search in my mpc menu...
if I cant' dump I must have MPC editor; but I must also have a PC (I got a Mac) with USB/SCSI cables...arrgghh

Have you checked out Translator (http://www.chickensys.com)? It may let you convert the MPC60 pgms to 2000XL format or at least export the raw sample files.

but I ask myself how to transfer my sounds to the mac...i use old scsi like DB-25M

Well if your 60 floppy drive works and your XL still has a working floppy than just load the disk in the XL and save them to wav.'s and put them on your comp.

If your MPC60 has SCSI, pick up one of our MCDISK card reader drives, along with a USB card reader for your Mac. Then get MPC Pgm Maker and you'll be all set.

so i summarize:
I put my mpc60 snd. on floppy disks, I load them in my computer which convert them in wav. and after that i can load them in the XL.
...is it that?
