MPC3000 buttons and pad not responding anymore.

After replacing the el-foil on my MPC3000 i was trying to boot up the mpc again, and noticed that some of the leds where on, so i remembered this from an earlier time that i opened the mpc (the connector from the main to the controlboard was not seated right)

this time the connector was seated correct and shouldn't give any problem, but i noticed that there was an little demage on the flatcable that could be an problem, so i took of the flatcable, got rid of the bad part and reassembled it back on.

But! oops ... i wasn't paying attention enough, cause after powering up i saw the screen going weird and took the power off.

So when i opened the mpc again, i saw that i reversed the flat cable on the controlboard. (i don't know why, but i made a big mistake)

So after installing it back on correctly, none of the buttons and pads where responding (it boots up, it loads from floppy, and it even plays and stops when i use the foot switch)

Does one of you have any suggestion? could i maybe fried the OP eprom on the control board?

check your fuses
u may have blown them by putting the cable in backwards
ive seen that happen a time or two
if thats the case thats a cheap fix
but if not then be prepared to shell out some dough
that may not be the case but if u love your MPC as much as I do you'll experience withdrawl being without it so its good to get used to the idea just in case

Well, all the fuses seems to be ok , so it could be an major problem and yeah i shure love my mp, but i have no idea where to service it overhere. (so it is going to be big challange for me to get it fixed)

sounds like in that case it may be the pwr supply
now dont quote me on thta because its kind \of hard to judge when I cant see the unit in person
if so you will ahve to ship it off to get it fixed more than likely

Hmm, yeah ok, i understand, so there might be a change that if i will follow that steps from the old topic (in which user mpc3000le discribes how to check a power suply) i can find out if there is any problem with it?

I will get into it, and will post my findings on it.
