60 screen problem: backlight or inverter?

hey my screen is fits the usual description of needing a new backlight...cant see it in the dark at all. how do i know if i need a new backlight or if its the actual inverer thats failed? anyone know what the inverter voltage output is supposed to be? not sure what the signs of inverter failure vs backlight failure would be. thanks

9/10 it's the foil the inverter goes out your screen will be blank

I've got the same problem with my 3k, the screen work but not the backlight.
I have buy a fresh backlight but don't work. After that, i purchased a new inverter to vst, and well done, all works!!!

ps: for all european, i've purchased a lot of gear to vst, and they are very pro and fast!!

hmmm...maybe i should start with the backlight and go from there then. that kind of sucks.

yeah, vst is very professional to deal wtih no doubt.

I had the same problem with the 60, it ended up being that the inverter needed some re-soldering... I watch the tech do it in literally 30 seconds...

yeah, maybe i should check that out first before i do anything else. if theres anykind of heat created in that area the solder joints would def be prone to fail after a long time. thanks for all the brainstorming!
