scsi error code on mpc 3000

Got a question with regards to the mpc 3000.

I am trying to find a zip drive via the scsi status screen and i get this Error code [FF48]

I have tried all available address's both Auto & 0-6

I am able to make a 10g hard drive active via id 1 but if i try to partition the the drive i also get a error code upon partitioning. error [FF51]. Also the said drive is only partitioned from A to E as opposed to A-Z

I have been told i may be a problem with a blow fuse within the MPC.

Any ideas on what maybe wrong?

do you have a multimeter to try the volt on the scsi ?

i thought the fuse was screwed om my mpc3000
but it seemed fine after checking with a multimeter

oterwhise, it can be the case that holds the zip thats wierd...

I would say it's your drive not the Fuse.

It seems that my zip drive hasn't got the relevant ID 5/6 switch on back.

I am going to locate a new drive and try again.

That would be your problem can't use parallel drive got to get a scsi with id and termination on the back

Now using a ID zip & all seems to be good.
