Well the topic very much says it all- is there another button which can be used instead?

To be more specific, when naming samples on my MPC60 there's always trouble since my 'enter'-button doesn't work good at all. You have to wiggle it around quite a lot to get it working. Is there any other button or combination which can be used when finished typing in the name?

Have searched on both the forum itself and in the manual, couldn't find anything on this.

same here.

enter key, soft key 1 and sound key..

Though I think its one big panel that has all the buttons on it.. if we want to replace 1 key, we have to replace them all, I guess

OK, since yall are bitching so loudly, I'll drop a gem on yall,

if your plasic button is ok, but it doesn't respond when you press it, you need a new tact switch. You can replace these individually, but it takes some careful desoldering.

MPC 3000 gave me a part number for the ones that are in the 3000, but they only had 2 leads, whereas the 60 tact switches have 4. (yo MPC 3000, I have a bunch of the two lead switches here, are they the right ones for the 3000?)

Akai service centers tend to have these. Use them so they keep the 60 parts active.

It is a simple procedure but you need to know what you are doing so you don't **** it up.

I would replace all that are somewhat problematic and keep some on hand just in case.

Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try. However, since you didn't answer my original question, I guess there's no other key which can substitute for the 'enter' for this particular operation.. ? :(
