Zip drives have 2 swuches on the rear. One: termintor on/ off. Two: ID 5 or 6. I have my 3000 & 60II connected to the same Zip drive. Works great!!!

The Zip is faster than floppies. But, not by much.

/\ Alot faster imo, but less reliable than floppies. Since 94 I've had like 6 floppies get corrupt and die. Out of 6 zip disks in the past year 2 died including the drive. To the person who made the thread, do yourself a favor and get a cardreader and the 3.50 os.

I never had problems with Zips. It was always the Jaz drives and disks.
I suggest getting the Zip and or Jaz drives band new. The Jaz drives I had were used.
