Weird headphone sound ??

When I hit play on my 3000 there's this sound in the background that's not really that loud but it sounds like SMPTE code . I don't hear it on the stereo outs, only through the headphones . Does anyone know what this is ?

I've tried a couple different sets of headphones so I know it's not them .

1: System electronics ground noise getting into the common line of the headphones.

2: Headphones and headphone cable acting as an antenna and picking up radiated system noise.

Might be able to fix this with a couple of capacitors.
