Is it possible to disconnect the pads from the sounds in OS 2.12, MPC-60? So I can use the pads for triggering rack-samplers and synths while still using the samples and sequences in the MPC60.

Thx!

There s nothing in the MIDI menu about local mode.. only:

1/ MIDI input filter
2/ External drum triggering
3/ Akai ME 35T
4/ Turn all notes off

Ive gone thru every (sub)menu but cant find anything. Also ' Turn All Notes Off ' , doesnt do anything..

probably external drum triggering.

All note off is for when you get a hung note over midi.

try option 2 from the midi screen, for out going notes set it to Drum Notes.

Set Midi soft thru to on.

then in the other menu under midi see the Midi Drum Chan and set the track you want to record the sequence for your external synth to a midi channel other than the one in the field.

That should do it, oh, and get the upgrade!

Sorry dude, but save them pesos ;)

It should work, people do this with the old OS, so it's gotta work. We may be missing something.

Do you have midi in connected to midi out and vice versa?

Do you have the midi channel on your external peice of gear set to the correct matching channel?

Maybe try it with soft thru off.

It's gotta work man, I don't think primo uses the upgrade.
