Mpc3000 software bug problem urgent help please!

have had my mpc3000 for a week and its been running perfectly everyday for several hours. today it has started crashing for no particular reason. the whole thing just locks up and the only way to cure the problem is to switch it off and on again. it usually happens when trying to enter notes into the sequencer from the pads. also the mpc started randomly playing through all samples in memory! man this is crazy. i'm worried i've been had. a screen appeared saying to to report software bugs oh5 and oh13 to akai. i'm on software version 3.03. can anyone help? do i need to get the sofware chip changed or could it be bad connections or something more sinister? if this is more serious i need to phone the guy i bought it from pronto.

DOwnload another OS and boot from disk and see if you have the same problems,

Either Akai (not sure) or the Roger Linn site has later OS's.

like mac said, def try out os3.11 first, download it and put it on disk, if your problem keeps happening you might have a shotty power supply and youll have to ship to VST for repair, about $100. good luck.
