I had some fun with my new baby tonight. Since i received my new memory battery today i decided to change it myself today. Even though my neck was hurting like hell from sitting in front of the computer all day was confident i could make it
So here we go...
OOopen up and say ahhhhh!!!!

reminds me a bit of my old Commodore 64. The build quality of this thing is amazing though...

a closer look :

first i needed to get rid of the PSU which was in the way

i took one more pic of all the connection to make sure i remeber everything when putting it back together

off goes the PSU, then the top board....

et voila ..the battery

a closer look at that sucker...

the mainboard, about to be moved out

the mainboard is out...finally, getting ready to solder

it was really a pain to unsolder the old battery with my crappy 30 watt soldering iron....but i made it:) heres the new one:

but i managed
. i put everything back together...and it worked. this made my day..
cheers everyone...
