Help-
I have an Akai MPC3000 I just recently purchased a Akai s950 beautiful unit...
(1.) Problems: I'm trying to hook the s950 to the mpc3000 to use as a trigger and sequence the sounds' I'm able to get the sound through only I have to hold the pad in order for the sound to play entirely is this normal? and is there a way to change this to have the note play the entire sample like most sampler can? I'm able to assign just one sound to the midi channels: I need to have it multi timbral to use different instrument sound on separate midi channels? The programs and the keygroups in the s950 are a little confusing & the manual is stone age' somebody hit me with some knowledge on the s950, consequently this machine has a great sound and I love the flexibility with the parameters....
(2.) Last option: Would be just to sample/ edit my sounds into the s950 and re-sample them into the mpc3000 just to incorporate the machine into my work-flow, but I would like to utilize the machine to it's capacity! Thanks
