MPC3000 SCSI issue...

YO! I just bought an external ZIP 100 Plus drive and I'm having issues. first I noticed that this model is a dual SCSI/Parallel drive which has an "Auto detect" feature. it has a SCSI ID switch, but no termination switch, so I wonder if that might be the problem. Also when I try to make it active on the SCSI menu, I set the SCSI ID switch on the zip drive to5 and MPC address to 5, then I can see the Zip drive respond to the command for a second, then it gives me the "No SCSI device was found" error message.

The ZIP PLUS doesn't always work with MPCs. You really need the straight SCSI type of zip.

well funny ting is that I was about to return it to the guy who sold it to me, but I was like "yo lemme give it one more try" and somehow it started working. hasn't gone down on me since. so the Zip drive Plus works fine for me on the 3K .
