so i have an mpc3000 and logic 8. i have a time code generator hooked up to my m-audio 410 interface that is sending the time code to my mpc via midi input channel 1. i then have my motif es8 midi'd into my mpc as well. needless to say, i have it all hooked up correctly to Logic to where i can play my keyboard and it triggers logic's sounds and i can time correct my playing on my mpc. my problem is, i do not know how to set my mpc or logic to where i can have several instrument channels in logic that all i have to do is scroll through my channel's on a particular track on my mpc and it changes to the different sounds i have in logic. also, when i make a beat, if i go to play something on the keyboard, i have to play higher because if i play certain notes on the keyboard, it'll trigger the drum sounds i have programed into my mpc. i can't figure it out for the life of me. i just want it configured to where i can make my beats, and then open a session that i have several pre-made instrument tracks already made, and from my mpc, i move my cursor to the channel spot on a particular track and play my keybaord and as i scroll through the different channels on my mpc it will go between the different instrument tracks i have in logic. and i also don't want it to trigger my drum sounds. how do i do this??? thanks!!!

To avoid triggering drums on your MPCwhile playing your Motif ES, change the track on your mpc to "midi" instead of "drum" track. Just scroll to it and turn the jog wheel to do this.

I have done this today as I recently sold lots of my hardware synths due to space.

So I know it works with Logic 8

Took me a while to work out and had to watch the vid a good few times

Download the file in the description.........

Think I had to change the midi to transmit on all channels on the MPC but can't remember 100% as it's not in front of me now

will check when I get home
