Yes, I have done it. INSIDE my mpc3000le i have a dual slot spyrus compac flash acting as a internal hard drive,(Thanks to JD from scsi for samplers for helping me strip the drive down even more to make it fit) and I just put the ide compac flash drive that came stock from akai factory for the mpc2000xl in my 3000 where my floppy drive use to be. I made that work by buying a acard ide to scsi convetror bridge off ebay for $40.00. ....Just call me the mad scientist..
