Before I say anything else I want to say thanks to JD from http://www.scsiforsamplers.com/ . I ordered my kit on Sunday and it arrived Wednesday. Fast considering I'm 3,000 miles away in California. Their customer service is amazing. As I was installing, any question emailed to JD was responded to in less than 5 minutes. He also followed up to make sure all was well.

Class act. Thanks brother JD.

Now for the business.

Everything works great. Can't wait to put it to the test. Now to figure out my file structure on the CF cards.

If you're interested in pictures of the instillation process, they can be found here.

Looks great, could you post a pic of it when the mpc is back together so we can see how it looks in the machine.

Also am I correct in thinking you didn't have to cut the original power cable from the flopy, just plug it in to the new cable with the install kit ?

Man, we have gotten past any of that cutting-the-power-connector crapola. All our install kits now come with a little two-pin connector that plugs right into the existing floppy power plug and then turns into whatever is needed - molex plug, another floppy plug (for when all that is needed is a power cable extension) or the custom power assembly used by the CF-CARD or NDISK drives.

:D The goal is to not have to modify the sampler in any way, so that everthing remains as it was originally, plus it makes the installation just that much easier.

And thanks to my man lifesabatch for working with us and taking care of business. He provided incredibly good pictures, as you can see.

Sounds good, that was the only issue I had when putting in the CF reader in my 60. I had a look at moving the reader from my 60 to 3000 but got scared.
I'm def gonna holla you when I got the cash.
I was gonna sell the 60 on, but I don't know if I can it's too beautiful now.
