Hello I have some mpc before and haven't got this problem before.
Is it normal that after 1 hour of beatmaking the units is hot but I can still put the hand on?

Thanks a lot

Peace

Were your past MPCs 3000s? Just curious because mine gets really hot, but I believe that's just the power supply.

I used to have this issue, the machine would get so hot that you could not keep your hand on it for long, when i opened it to replace the inverter due to the whineing sound, the circuit board under the numbers was discoloured.

I bought a brand new original (Nichia i think it's called) inverter from Forat to stop this whineing once installed it actually also stopped the machine from getting hot, now it just gets warm as it should, so it could be that the inverter needs changing.

My friends has a 3000 also, his one gets hot but has no whineing sound so it may be your inverter still needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps, Karl....
