I just got my SD-CF II : SD to CF Type II apapter in the mail, and I wanted let everyone know my findings.
I put in my MPC3000, and it formatted, saved and loaded files fine.
Restarted it, and it booted up flawlessly.
I put in my MPC60, and it formatted, saved, and loaded files fine.
Restarted it, and it didn't boot. Instead I got the typical 'no floppy' error.
Once it boots, I can make it active, and it works fine.
One thing to note, the SD-CF II needs a little more headroom than a standard card. I have several PCMCIA adapters, but the only one it would fit into was one that looked like this:
