Sequencer Glitch

Hey guys. I've recently encountered a problem with the ol' MPC where as I turn it on and it's as if someone is smacking all the sequencer buttons at random times. So lets say that I'm in the Program-Edit window or the Mixer window and it just takes me back to the main screen because of the sequencer. THanks.

Are you sure you don't have something in the MIDI IN and the MPC set to SYNC ON?

It's an MPC3000 running on OS 3.16.

I think it might have to do with the circuitry in my place.

Who knows but hopefully it doesn't happen with any of you guys.

It's nothing in the midi settings. I turn it on and the play/dub/record buttons are being pressed randomly but I'm not touching it.

The contacts inside mith be durty, the buttons out of place or broken... i can be many things.. open up the machine and clean it. worked for me.
