SCSI not recognized?

i have plugged in my scsi external drive, put on the power supply and than turned on my mpc3000. now when i go to save a sound on my scsi drive an error pops up that reads that i dont have a floppy disk in my floppy drive.."??? how do i get my mpc to read my scsi card so i can save some stuff on it.. sorry for the newbie question.

On start up does it say "Searching SCSI for hard Disk"?

Did you format the drive?

yes it does say that but htan it lead me straight to the main screen

no i have not formatted anything on my drive how do i do so?

i just formated my drive.. thanks homie.. one more question, how do i connect my external zip100 iomega to my macbook?? should i buy a SCSI/USB adapter?? will that work.. thanks for the fast response..

I never used a scsi to usb adapter. its worth a shot if its cost effective.
I personally would just get a USB zip since they are so cheap.
