Hi i broke the fader (the top part, fadertrack is still functionning) and look for a replacement one, i tried many MPC online "specialists" but did't find one.

Do you have a tip or some infos about a similar part that fit in 3000 please ?

Thanks

For the MPC60, I identified a

Bourns PTA 45mm

fader to be identical - given by the specs. Just search digikey or another supplier.

Out of curiosity, Bourns states in their specification pdf: Applications: DRUM MACHINES

Hope that helps. I wouldn't expect the 3000 fader to be different. Just open the unit and take a look.

Today I replaced the fader in the 60 by a new one:

Bourns PTA 4543-2010CIB103, 10 kOhm, linear type

This type exactly fits with all its pins.
I had a hard time to remove the old one since the pins of the
metal fader housing are a kind of snap-in construction. So, after
desoldering as thoroughly as possible, the fader was still fixed.
With a little help of a flat screw driver I could finally take the fader off.

The new one works so smooth, but the lever of the replacement was
about 5mm to long, but I just shortened it with a wire cutter and the knobs
sits perfectly on it.
