He is not using an MCDISK for storage.

MCDISKS can load reasonably fast if you are using the Vailixi 3.50 OS and SCSI MULTI SECTOR TRANSFER is set to "ON".

Of course, you will need to turn this setting "OFF" again when it comes to saving.

MCDISKS are not so fast at reading and writing.

They are however, reliable when it comes to both tasks; and that is more important than overall speed.

Only a couple of things I know of that are that fast when used for storage with an MPC3000.

A regular old SCSI HD in an external case. ( Think ancient QUANTUM EMPIRE or MAVERICK or modern SCSI type with adapters and such )

Or ...

The SCSI SSD flash fixed disk that JD at SCSI4SAMPLERS sells:

quick offtopic Scsi Question, please somone tell me:

i got my SCSI cable today for using my CF Drive with the ASR 10

however it needs Power step down from 110 to 220 V

same for the MPC 60

but for now i only have one step down converter

so my question is: is it correct that i can not power off the SCSI CF Drive as long as the ASR 10 is ON ?

otherwise it wil damage the SCSI of my ASR 10 ?
