hello, I have an external scsi Hard Disk Drive connected to my mpc 3000 LE.
I bought an Iomega 100 mb Zip drive and my mpc 3000 can not read the Iomega although when I connect my Hard Disck I dont have problems!
I though my Iomega zip Drive was faulty (i bought it new) so I bought an otherone (used) but my mpc still
can not read the external Iomega 100mb Zip Drive...

Could some body tell me , what I can do ?

thank you

u have to format the zip in order to make it readable...
turn on mpc, go to format, format it.. check there if mpc read the scsi zip.. only under format page...

Which one of the two ports of the back of the zip drive itself did you plug it into?

If other stuff is working on the same SCSI chain and you're certain that there are no ID collisions etc I'd dare say the problem lies within the zip drive itself. Try another one..

I had the same problem when I first used my CF card writer. I had to format the card as FAT on the PC before the MPC3000 would recognise it.

Have you tried a different cable for the ZIP drive. Since you know that the SCSI bus works, that narrows down the issue to either the Zip drive or the cable that connects to the MPC.
