MPC 60-2 & 2000XL Sync

I just bought an MPC 60-2. I've been using my MPC 2000XL to sequence samples and midi modules. I'd like to be able to sync my MPC 60-2 to my 2000XL, so that I can press play on the XL and the 60 will start running. I've been reading in the 60-2 manual about midi time code, midi clock and other syncing options. What is the best way to sync the two?

The only thing you can use is Midi Time Code. In order to make the 2000 the master and the 60 II is the slave you must map it out like this:

[ MPC 2000 ] midi out ------------ midi in [ MPC 60 II ]

1. Make sure that the 60 II is on midi time code.
2. I think you have to be in song mode in order to make this work so if you have a sequence, put it in song mode and just have it repeat the sequence.
3. Hit start on the 60 II (it won't start it will just engage the sync mode)
4. Start the MASTER, MPC 2000, the 60 II should follow.

Let me know if this works, I'm a little shaky on the 2000. I have one but another producer that works with me uses it. Worst case I'll have him bring it by and i'll try it out with my 3000 LE (I know it's different but in theory the problem may arise with the 2000). As far as the functions, the 2000 makes nothing easy...
