MAC to+from MPC3000 transfer via USB and SCUSSI ZIP drives

I have an MPC3000 connected to a scussi Zip drive and a USB Zip drive conected to a macbookpro.
After loading my samples and programs to the mac for backup I can no longer load the data back into the MPC3000 from the disk. I have heard that the mac adds data to the Zip when it loads from it.
Does anyone know of software that will restore the data on the Zip disk so that I can access my MPC3000 samples and programs? I think My mpc3000 is OS3.11. Do I realy have to upgrade to OS3.5, Load Roger Linns OS3.12 or just get mac OS software to get my sounds back again. Will any of these work?

No, since the MPC3000 can format any SCSI media to 780MB (twenty-six 30MB partitions), you should be fine choosing either a 100MB or 250MB SCSI Zip drive.

whats the maximum size of a 3k-formatted zip disk partition?

i c it can't do less then four ... which only allows me to put 25 mb of info on a zip disk from my mac.

I think youi just answered your own question.
If it cant do less than 4 at 25mb each - that means max is 25 mb.

However, if you have access to a computer you can :
Format a disk using MPCEditor to have a single 30mb partition.
or
use the ISO image here to get 3 32mb partitions - http://www.mpc3000.com/iso_files.htm
