whos used a 60,3000, and asr 10?

So i had sell my 60 a while back, now i wanna start making beats again. Its gona take me a few months to save up though. Im a very goal oriented person, so i need to know exactly what im saving to buy or shit ant gon work. Ive used all the mpc's apart from the 3000. I had the 3000 operating system on my 60 so guess i basically have, just got a few questions so i can decied what i want to get.

Ive been reading the forums and theres been some topics bout 60's dieing? I guess its hard to get parts, and living in australia it might be even harder, BUT i love the sound and feel. So im wondering, are ther much differences between them? Does the 3000 still have that bounce and crunchyness? Is it easier to get parts for it and service than the 60? Does it have a longer life time than the 60?

Also the 3000 has a few inboard effects which i like.

Then ive been thinking about the asr -10, but ive never even seen one. I dont understand how the sequencer works. Is it like the mpc style? Ive always liked alchemist sound and evidence beats too. They seem to be quite alot cheaper than mpc 3000/60. But after using mpc for years would i not like using the keys to bang out a beat?

i perfer the asr the 60 sequencer is good and stable
but i love the asr dead easy sequencer when you understand it all.

i dunno if id even consider a 60 if your thinking about a 3000
my choices soley for sampling ASR>3000>60

Ive had all three... but got rid of the 60.

The 3000 is not quite as crunchy for obvious reasons... 12bit vs 16


but aside from that, the OS is the same as you are used to.

Advantages 3000 over 60... sample time, minimal effect (just delay), scsi (if you didnt have it) more notes, sequences... etc...

the sound on a 3k is much brighter than a 60 when your sampling at high volume (almost clip) and a snare "snaps" on a 3k, and "cracks" on a 60... if that makes any sense.


Then ASR-10 is a whole whole whole different sound... uber clear to distortion metal distorted... it is a true workstation, full sampler, and effects rig...

but the sequencer is limited IMO... not as user friendly... and the ASR's whole workflow is a little more tedious.

I would go 3k, then asr, and keep em both, and midi sync them together... only because you already know the workflow on the mpc
