Sampling while a sequence is playing (on a 3000)

Can either the AKAI OS or Vailixi do this ? I know you can edit the sample start and end points in Vailixi but was told that you can actually take samples while a sequence is playing.

Is that possible - I didn't think it was.

Neither OS allows you the feature of sampling while the sequencer is in play or record mode.

The hardware design does not allow for a best case software implementation that would be user friendly.

Certain inconveniences would rear their ugly head.

Too complex to explain.
