Scsi problem with my new mpc-3000 HELP!

So I finally got the best machine ever invented on earth known as the mpc-3000. I can't get it to read my scsi drive though! Driving me crazy.

I've used this iomega scsi with a mpc-2000 awhile back and it should be working. When I search for scsi on the mpc-3000 I can hear it activating the scsi drive and it makes a sound like it's trying to access it but it's not working and I just keep getting an error message.

I'm not sure whether I should just buy a new scsi drive and pray or try to get a different mpc-3000, I'm kind of in love with the machine and tempted to find a really pimped out one with internal zip and maybe some forat mods.

I am using a iomega 250 zip with a 100zip disk, I have two types of disks one says MAC and the other PC but it's not like I can format them anyways because it won't access them either way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I suppose I would love it if it's just something wrong with the scsi drive and I yes I've tried every possible combination of buttons on the back of the scsi, 5/6 and I/O termination. I just want to make music ahhhhhhhh!

Sounds like you probably just have a bad zip drive. That is a very common situation. I'd suggest that you try a different one and see if that works. If you are in the USA, we have a loaner zip drive that we can send you to test with. Contact me for more info.
