Playing 16 levels on a midi keyboard??

Is it possible to trigger 16 levels from the 3000 with a midi keyboard? Or do you have to just map out the sounds to each pad and change the pitch manually in order to play it with a midi keyboard? I really like using a keyboard to play my basslines rather than the pads...

Yes. Thats the way to go.

(at least for the 2000 but I dont think its the same on all MPCs except the 4000 and maybe the 5000)
