And the problems continue...

I have an external Spyrus SCSI CF-reader. I use it with my 2kxl and it works just like supposed to. But on 3k I can't save sounds to a cf card! When I try to save sounds to my 3k formatted partition disk, 3k says that there's no disk inserted.

How is this possible? When I format the cf card mpc recognizes it but as soon as I try save sounds mpc acutely doesn't recognize it anymore. I can save sequences and programs but when I try save sounds the mpc goes blind and won't recognize the card.

What to do? Is the problem in the mpc? I have tried several cards and it's the same thing in each of them... I have also tried two different cables - the problem is neither on the cables.

I would highly appreciate help!

Or the experience as a skilled and knowledgeable MPC3000ist becomes greater ?

As you are a Vailixi 3.50 user then a work around is presented below for your convenience.

Such a work around has been presented here on these forums many times.

On your MPC3000.

Press DISK, 9 and then 5.

You will see this screen below:

Change the parameter:

"SCSI multi sector transfer:" from ON to OFF.

Leave said parameter set in the OFF position.

Now.

Format your disk again as failed save attempts from your past efforts will have resulted in directory and/or FAT corruption.

After this process has been complete.

File load and save operations will be successful.

Does this help ?

Rohan.

I got it fixed a few days ago by accident. I was just fcking around with the machine and tried this and that if the saving could be possible after some param changes.

But yeah, that was the problem what Rohan posted: "SCSI multi sector transfer".
Works like charm now, no problems. Thanks fellows!
