A while back, one of my recording engineering classmates told me that there was a way to copy protect mpc disks.
He was an intern at CanAm studios (I think you spell it that way) where Death Row was occupying. As you could guess, everyone was always searched coming in and out of there and they were super paranoid of people stealing shit.
He said that one of their producers told him that Death Row contacted Roger Linn and learned how to copy protect disks with the MPC.
As you probably know, MPC's were the heart of there production.
