Its not quite an MPC60 but its pretty close an im getting desperate :(:(:(:(:(

I have never been able to get my ASQ10 to sync up with my DAWs, Cubase/Logic etc. I have tried many different settings/ports and so forth.
I can get my DAWs to run slave/master with other hardware mainly my Fostex 2424 (HD recorder) with no problems so my system IS capable of syncing.

I have just managed to get my Fostex 2424 to run as a master for the ASQ. I used MTC out of the Fostex and it only works when the ASQ is in song mode. This shows that the ASQ will receive a signal....... BUT
It dose not work properly. It starts and stops the ASQ ok but there is a major problem with the tempo. They do not match! If both machines are set on say 94bpm, the ASQ seems to run at a different bpm (havnt checked if it was faster or slower yet).

I also had this problem when I bounced a song from the ASQ into Cubase. I ran audio out from my sampler into the computer, pressed record in Cubase and pressed play on the ASQ. This was just to do a straight bounce down, no sync involved. Once I had the audio in Cubase i dragged it so the first kick was at the very start but it had the same problem. The beat that was 94bpm according to the ASQ setting was not so in Cubase. You could clearly see the kicks starting to slip off the beat/bar markers as you went along???????????????? I dont get it, there was no sync involved just a straight audio recording. Surly bpm is bpm?
Now im wondering if there is an internal problem with the ASQ affecting its time keeping?

This is starting to do my head in as I love using the ASQ10 but I need to be able get steady tempos for transferring to the studio.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. If you have had anything like this or have heard of it before let me know. Any ideas, suggestions are welcome.

I have wondered if upgrading to OS3.10 might make a difference?

For the sake of it im running an ASQ10 with OS 2.13 and an AKAI S6000 sampler

Right, major break through!!!!! Not sure what I did but now when I use the Fostex as a master the ASQ now runs as a slave IN PERFECT TIME!!!!
Soooooooo I hooked up a chain. Iv got Logic as a master > midi out into the Fostex (slave) > midi out from that into the ASQ10 and it works. It takes 2 beats for the chain to catch up (due to the Fostex)but then all 3 run in perfect sync.
But if I now plug the ASQ directly into Logic (replace the Fostex in the chain) it stops working again. Its almost as if the Fostex translates the MTC or something.

Any ideas now.

And just to mention I have been trying to sort this problem for about a year now, researching and digging all over the net with no luck so I have done my homework ;) Id like to think im not a lazy noob here
