smpte option

can anyone guide me through the installation of the smpte option?

the manual makes reference to many different part numbers but no pics to see which part is being referred to...

also, on the mpc site, it says the mpc will send AND read smpte without the option installed, but i don't think that's correct... it looks like it will only generate the code, but not sync to it without the smpte option installed...

ok i found the service manual and where the chip is supposed to go...

two things...

first, the manual says the cpu daughter board has 3 screws... i can only find 2 and can't seem to lift it off as the manual suggests it should...

two, how do you know which pin is number one on the chip, as there are no marks on it!
