60 Question

I pick up a RL 60 tomorrow but quick question, what's the sampling time like on them without a sampler?

Do you mean memory upgrade? 13.1 seconds without expansion.

For longer samples, you can sample vinyl at 45rpm at 8% pitch and playback with pitch down around 64 - 66 depending on what your ears like.

Doesn't matter you have a 2500 and SP.
That means you have a MP with big sample time but are also use to the lack of sample time of the SP.
You should be good either way.
Plus as people are discovering people are selling 60s without knowing what installed, you might get it and it's loaded with various options that the seller didn't mention.

The only thing you need to be aware of is that the OS controls sample time.
There were 2 problems on the older OS versions (pre v3):
1) the OS limited sample time to 5 sec
2) the sequencer memory is erased by sampling

Ah right. I pick it up tomorrow so will check what's installed then. I actually enjoy the limitation, especially with the SP.

yeah you gotta remember to save before sampling again.. or sample everything first. takes a few seconds but that one got me a few times haha... having to redo 7 track sequences can be annoying on several sequences.

back when I bought my 60 I wound up with the memory expansion too and the person who sold it didn't mention it
