Hey whats going on everyone. I have a problem with my mpc3000. A few weeks ago i was using the unit just fine, and then in the middle of working, the machine just truned off. I tried to reboot the machine, and there was no light on the screen, nothing would boot, only thing that happens is:
-when turned on all the red LEDS on the unit are dimly lit.
-Nothing on the screen, unless i slightly move the contrast until i see some boxy, blocky images on the screen that then fade out.???WTF???
-ive opened the machine and replaced all the fuses, and cannot find any noticeable problems. Ive seen this problem more than one time while searching online. Ive yet to see the problem resolved other than someone sending it off for repair. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!
thanks so much.

It's possible that either your backlight or the actual invertor itself has crapped out.

Anything electronic built in 1994 is living on borrowed time depending on its history and care.

If I were you I'd get a specialist to identify the problem so you can decide whether its repairable or a write off.

A good time to join the forum...

can i please have some more information about the inverter, and the ram expansion. Are you speaking about the actual ram sticks, or the assembly that the ram is inserted into? because the unit will not boot with or with out ram in it. I appreciate all the help guys.
